Personal Tapa

This week we are going to the Te Hui Art Gallery in Pakuranga. The lesson we are going to do it called stories from the Pacific.

In preparation we have been looking at tapa clothes from different Pacific Island, and ones that have been made by different Pacific artists.

We worked with our buddies from room 9 and created a plan for our own tapa clothes that show what has happened in our lives and what is special to us.  After we had made our designs we made a presentations explaining our tapa cloth. Take a look!
